Derek Donkin is Chief Executive Officer of Subtrop.

Subtrop, the South African Subtropical Growers' Association, runs from Tzaneen and administers the collective affairs of the avocado, litchi and mango growers. Under Donkin, it forecast about 22 million cartons of avocado exports for the 2026 season.
