Pelchem is a wholly owned Necsa subsidiary and the only producer and supplier of fluorochemicals in the Southern Hemisphere. In 2024/25 it cut its financial loss by 58% under a turnaround strategy.

  1. Pelchem began importing anhydrous hydrogen fluoride to supply the local market after its hydrogen fluoride plant was shut down. Source

  2. Pelchem raised xenon difluoride output from 225 kg to 314 kg a year and commissioned a new fluorine cell and three fluorine cylinder filling cabinets. Source
