Ismail Simjee is Chief Executive Officer of Tropic Plastic and Packaging.

Tropic Plastic and Packaging is a Durban manufacturer of flexible packaging for bread, individually quick frozen foods and shrink wrap, founded by the Bhabha family in 1963. In 2024 Nedbank Private Equity and the Mineworkers Investment Company bought a majority stake, with management taking a minority interest.
